I am a single parent this week. My husband has gone off to the East Coast to visit family and I am here holding down the West coast proverbial fort. I decided to take Addison out to dinner last night as a treat for both of us. I am thankful my little guy is an adventurous eater! We had the pleasure of eating at Luc, not too far from home. We got a special seat at the counter overlooking part of the kitchen and got to see our meal being made. We shared a yummy salad and Trout Amandine which Addison devoured with much gusto. He kept saying "I love trout! This is the best trout I have ever had!" Our waiter treated us like kings. I think he was pleased to be waiting on a trout-amandine-loving-4 year old. I was rather pleased with myself for not breaking out the scale to weigh the bread they brought with our dinner or the potatoes that came on our plate. You see, after 3 years, I am getting the hang of eyballing carbs. It feels good to be able to guess and guess right most of the time! It is funny though, to be out, and have my phone (my new iphone btw, which I am completely smitten with) AND the pump remote. There is a lot of pressing of buttons going on. I wonder what onlookers must think sometimes.

Jen, they are probably thinking "I wish my four year old would eat trout, that lucky woman"! Addison could teach Frank a thing or two.
Wow - trout, I am envious of his eating habits! I am SO far behind in commenting and blogging!!!! Hope all is well Jen!
